It’s been 3 years since I sold my STAX SRS-4040 Signature System and Sennheiser HD600 w/Cardas cable. I’m back again, but am not looking for some fancy sound output, just neutral reproduction is perfectly fine since I had given up fancy audio gears and all my audio gears are Pro gears nowadays.
I am happy with the 380 so far, hopefully it gets even better after running for more hours.
Heh heh ! I am not asking a question, I was talking about one of Pink Floyd’s songs instead.
It is one of my all time favourites, but it is rather short that you will really want it to last.
And when talking about songs, ‘Wish you were here’ is another magnificent piece from them.
And I have been listening to songs that I like so much in those days, they are from Eurythmics, the unique and special voice of Annie Lennox, and Sting and …, so many of them.
There are times that you’ll tell yourself, ‘Those were the days !’.
The sentense flashed in my mind while I’m listening to Masatoshi Nakamura’s (中村雅俊) songs, ‘タダお前がいい’, and ‘俺たちの旅’, the songs in the soundtracks of ‘俺たちの旅’ (an old Japanese TV drama). I watched the TV drama when I was very young, the story and the characters are still on my mind.
Still miss the days when I was young. “Those were the days !”
They are simply marvelous, Akira Yamaoka is really that great (I’m repeating myself too much), I’m listening to ‘Theme of Laura’ right now and the scenes of Silent Hill 2 are all over my mind. Especially the prison cell scene, “It doesn’t matter who I am. I’m here for you James. See, I’m real.”.
My Silent Hill Collection (PAL) should be in transit by now,
hopefully my Silent Hill Experience and US DDR Extreme will also come, too. edit: outpost.com doesn’t deliver them overseas, damn ! Have to try ebay.com.
I should also credit Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (her name is Melissa Williamson in SH3 EU OST) for her beautiful voice in SH3 and SH4 OST.
BTW, somebody put a video of Akira Yamaoka playing ‘Theme of Laura’ live with a symphonic orchestra on Youtube.com. In case you don’t know, click here to go to the video. I wish I was in Chicago and had attended the concert.
… just to feed unprocessed 16/44.1 data to the MiniDAC.
Ha ha ! Crazy ? Definitely not ! It is really cheap comparing to the way I had been spending with my audio system some years before.
If you like the game, you will very very probably like the OST as well.
You can buy it from
Amazon Japan, CD Japan or Play Asia
Otani san (who worked on the WATC OST) had also worked on the OST of the anime Chacoal Feather Federation, which is also one of my favourites.
Yeaaaaah, great as expected, there is also a DVD with the music videos. Damn great !!!
Will never get tire of it, and have a very complex and sad feeling everytime I listen to it.
